Joaquin Jacobs
Director & Secretary
Joaquin's journey with horses began at an early age, where first horse opened the door to a world filled with truth and love.
He pursued his education in Psychobiology and Molecular Biology in college, and after a successful 22-year career as an analytical chemist, a laboratory accident prompted him to return to his true passion: his horses. In 1993, he founded the nonprofit organization Pan-Equus in Grass Valley, CA, dedicated to studying the profound bond between humans and horses. The organization offers a wide range of equine experiences, including training, therapeutic riding, and equine-assisted psychotherapy, and is currently focused on trauma healing for veterans dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury, showcasing the incredible impact horses can have on human well-being.
