Earthbound Academy offers a transformative alternative education model that bridges emotional well-being, academic achievement, cultural awareness, and environmental stewardship. Programs offered at Earthbound Academy foster a nurturing environment where students thrive academically, grow personally, and build a strong sense of community. The innovative curriculum integrates environmental science and sustainable practices with personal development through equine therapy and hands-on sustainable farming, while also cultivating cultural awareness through immersive field experiences.
Earthbound Academy empowers participants to become engaged global citizens, committed to the well-being of both the planet and their communities. Serving as a vibrant hub, it brings together local Puerto Rican students and world schoolers from around the globe.
WHO WE ARE
Founded in Miami and located in Puerto Rico, Earthbound Academy aims to address pressing educational challenges by nurturing eco-conscious leaders who are passionate about sustainability and personal development. With extensive backgrounds in education, equine therapy, and sustainability, our co-founders Alisha Jacobs and Orianne Tairum engineered a holistic approach to education that cultivates a deep connection between students and their natural surroundings, thereby preparing them for the realities of our changing world.
The mission of Earthbound Academy is to reconnect students, families, and communities with nature while cultivating a sustainable and resilient mindset. Our vision underlines a commitment to creating adaptive world-schooling hubs that honor and respect local cultures and environments. Our core values—sustainability, cultural awareness, emotional growth, and community engagement—drive our educational philosophy. We seek to inspire future generations to not only pursue academic success but also nurture a sense of stewardship towards the environment and their community. By implementing programs that emphasize hands-on learning experiences, we aim to provide students with the tools and the skills they need to address contemporary challenges with resilience.
